New Shoes, New Me

I have a very tight budget. This has never changed for the longest time but when there's big Sale signages at the malls, it's different.

Yesterday, I saw a good deal at Fila, the Flow Vents is being put on a crazy discounted price from PHP 4,248.00 to 1,299.00

Being a sale rat and eager to start running again after months, I asked the Sale Staff for my size, tried the shoes, paid for it and left the store happy.

This morning, I'm running w/ my elder brother Arthur and I am excited about it.

To a healthier and lighter me! :

A Very Special Day

Kahit taon-taon na niyang ginagawa to, hindi ko pa rin mapigilang magulat at kiligin. Flowers every Valentine's Day.

It's our 10th February together and although our love story has ups and downs, here I am, I can say that we are stronger than ever, wiser and happier each day.

Ramdam ko na hindi tayo basta lang magkasintahan. We are more than best friends. You are the other part of myself. Without you, I am not complete. Life without you is unimaginable.

Thank you for giving me space to grow, for the love you've shown me, for the beautiful things you've shared with me. Thank you for this very special day, Mangki. I love you!

Hancock, a Superhero

I'm a Will Smith fan but since Mangki's not so fond of him, I seldom get to see his movies in the cinema house. Not when I am watching w/ my siblings whom I share the same love for Mr. Smith.

This movie, Hancock, I am aware that he's some sort of delinquent superhero but it is only now that I'm watching it that I've come to realise that there's more to this superhuman character he plays. This is a very nice movie, feel good movie, as a matter of fact. I can watch this over and over again.

Rest in Peace, Paul Walker

I may not know him personally, he obviously doesn't know I even exist, but the fact that Paul as an actor is close to my heart, I can't help but weep for his sudden demise.

He was a passenger of his Porsche car when it had a fatal crash in California, November 30, 2012. It was reported that he left a charity event he spearhead for the Haiyan/Yolanda victims. Shortly after leaving, the accident happened.

The roller coaster of emotions he caused me in his movies is nothing compared to how I feel today. I am deeply saddened by his tragic death. The thought of not seeing him in theaters bring tears to my eyes. So, yes, even if we're not related, we're not friends, he doesn't know me, and I haven't seen him in the flesh, I am mourning for Paul Walker.

I will include you in my prayers, Brian of Fast and the Furious, and Gerry of Eight Below. My deep condolences to your family.

Weekends

Weekends. You are all I need after five days of grueling office hours. You are the most important thing for me in this crazy and cruel world. I will spend my Saturday doing everything I love doing, watching Charmed, playing my Bakery Story, checking my Facebook timeline, looking out for shih tzu photos online and tweeting randomly. My Sunday, tomorrow, will be a great day for me, too. I will go to church with my family, remember how I love being a spoiled God's kid, and sleep as long as I possibly can. Ugh. Weekends. I love you so much.

Recharged

My week ended pretty well. After work, I had a good night sleep, roughly eight hours in bed. I even woke up feeling overslept, ha! I felt recharged.

So I am, again, ready for another day. No work, that meant more time to go online, check Facebook and Twitter and play online games. Yes, we had some Skype moments with little brother in Coral Springs, FL.

I am so engaged in this cooking game in my tablet that Mama remembers to check her Cafe World. Damn! Do we still have that game on Facebook? So I logged on to her account and to my surprise, it still does exist. I let her removed the spoilages and cook some recipes. I almost forget that Zynga incorporated country-based recipes. For the Philippines, there's Sisig, Chicken Adobo, Filipino Paella and others I can't recall. The point is, it is cool to see those Filipino things on a US-based game, developed by an American. So much for Cafe World.

In the middle of my ordinary rest day, I thought of watching a nice movie. When searching for a good flick to watch, yes, weird as it may seem, but I consider something I've watched in the past, or something that I haven't.

First, it was Magic Mike. Damn this movie, okay, I honestly couldn't find the words to describe the movie. I found myself wetting my lips every after two minutes. I found myself staring at abs, sexy hips, strip dancing hunks, Channing Tatum's ass was all over the place! WHAT WAS THAT?!?! I just couldn't explain any further as I am panting now, okay?

This other movie I watch is for Kuya's sake. We watched Fast and the Furious 6. Just like other action flicks, this is one movie I will never get tire watching. I can watch this everyday and I would still feel good about it. I'm just glad they didn't totally "kill" Letty's character there. Dom is perfect for her and Letty is perfect for her just as equal. I died a couple of times waiting for the seventh installment. Nuninuninuni...

My Hulk Hogan Childhood

You can tell how old I am with this entry. I was a little girl when this wrestling era was so popular.

It was my Papa who influenced me, well, more like forced me into loving the sports. He would pay me for peace, I would sit with him and watch WWF. After a few episodes, I've become a fan, genuinely. I'd be cheering for Hulk Hogan, yes, THE HULK HOGAN. That honey-skinned guy, short blond hair, particularly bald at the top of the head, sporting a nice beard and mustache and some facial hair. He's the protagonist, always the protagonist. He's the one that kids love. He's the guy you'd love to watch. He is WWF. At least for me. Or at least that's how I remember him based on how olds around me reacted everytime he has a fight.

I have two older brothers, the eldest was seven years older than me and the other, we have a six years gap. Being a wrestling fan, as kids, you couldn't control the urge to copy what you see on TV. You get carried away, you're this close to smashing the TV everytime your idol gets beaten at some points in the match. So then, after the show, you get bored, you imitate them. Or, you're energy is that high you needed an outlet.

My Hulk Hogan childhood consists of me and my brother doing the WWF thing. We wrestle, we smash, we do the hulk thing. And last night, I suddenly remember this one movie I've watched when I was a kid, No Holds Barred. Maaaann! That's one of the best movies I've watched as a little girl!

Good thing I got a good link to watch this old movie, it was nostalgic. It brought so many memories to me. My late Papa, our time together, our TV time together, my brothers, our WWF thingie, my bruises and my hidden wrestling talent. It's a good feeling. I've forgotten, how my stiff neck hurts.

Niece

My weekend was spent well, happy as usual. My niece was here, we played, we took a lot of photos, she did some wardrobe changings, she had spaghetti, burger, ice cream and some jell-o candies.

A lot of people say we do look alike. She's like my mini version. A small me. Small, literally, but not really. Since she's becoming full on the arms, her cute butt, her face is now round, she's adorable like that.

This niece of mine can be very charming and funny, but she can also be snob, but to one person only, and that's my boyfriend, her godfather. I don't know but when the two of them are inside a room, I am always stressed out. They engage into a lot of arguments, they "fight," she'll get mad, it would make him extremely happy. He's crazy like that. Don't get me wrong though, he loves my niece.

Having a niece like her only makes my desire to have a daughter go stronger and stronger. I'm not changing my mind, I will have a baby girl. A girl that's like my beautiful and smart niece.

Burger and Noodles

Holla!

So my baby brother is now in Florida, we've seen him when he was still in NY, had a connecting flight to Florida then. Now in FL, he looks fine, he is doing okay, hungry he said, went to a convenience store and had burger and noodles for late dinner. This remains a mystery to me. Burger and noodles in Florida, seriously, bro? Man, gotta try the steak, at least, right? Anyway, that's how his digestive system works. Weird. And his taste buds, too, for that matter. He resumes work tomorrow and promised me he'll take lots of pictures.

I am waiting for him to get me some Miami HEAT photos, too. Hihihi!

Termites and Pests

Termites.

According to Wikipedia, these are pests that can cause serious structural damage to buildings, crops or plantation forests.

Pests.

These are organisms that cause nuisance and epidemic disease associated with high mortality.

What's relevant about these two things I've mentioned? Because I have been thinking of this one person at the office whom I see as a termite and as a pest. Like a termite, she's causing serious damage by saying untruthful words, baseless accusations, insults and all sorts of ugly things. Like a pest, she's causing nuisance to everyone.

I am seriously bothered by her presence. I don't want to be mean but I think I will give her a dose of her own medicine one of these days. Just you wait.
